Return + Refund Policies
HOFMAN piercing & fine jewelry is dedicated to our customer service and providing an exquisite shopping experience for all of our customers. If, for any reason, you are unsatisfied with your jewelry, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to request a return and we will inform you on the return process.
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. After cancellation you have another 14 days to return your product. You will then be credited the full order amount including shipping costs. The costs for returning the item(s) from your home to the webshop are for your own account. We recommend you to return items insured and with track & trace. Hofman Piercing & Fine Jewelry is not responsible for items lost in transit.
Please note the following:
- Jewelry must be in its original packaging. All jewelry is delivered in a sealed clear plastic bag. Due to hygiene reasons, jewelry that has been taken out of this bag can NOT be returned.
- Customized items can not be returned.
- Discounted items can not be returned.
- If items arrive to us broken they can not be refunded. Please note that you are responsible for proper packaging and guarding a safe return of the item. For returning defective items please read “Items received broken/defective”.
Once your return is received and inspected we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and once approved, your purchase will be refunded through your original method of payment.

We take great care in packaging your products so they are well protected during delivery. However, if you receive a defective item please contact us at email@example.com
We will replace the defective item at no cost to you. We do request you to return the defective item before we can send out the replacement.
Items with lifelong guarantee
Some items come with a lifelong guarantee on production errors and setting. Check the descriptions to see if items are carrying the lifelong guarantee. This guarantee covers production errors and the setting of the gems. It does NOT include loss, improper use, etc.
Should an item that carries this guarantee show defects we ask you to contact us through firstname.lastname@example.org and your item will be replaced or repaired.
We don’t offer direct exchanges through the site. If you’d like to exchange a product, we ask you to return your purchase through our return policy and place a new order online through our website.
Shipping is done 1 to 3 workdays after full payment has been received. You will be notified through email once your package has shipped. Below are estimates on how long it takes for the package to be delivered to your address.
Netherlands: 2 – 3 days
Europe: 1 – 3 weeks
Outside Europe: 2 – 4 weeks

All packages are shipped with track & trace and standard insurance.
Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasives to clean your jewelry as these can cause irreparable damage. Water and mild soap is enough to clean dirty jewelry. Do not use machines like ultrasonic cleaners to clean jewelry as some materials can be irreparably damaged by these.
We recommend cleaning as often as needed using a polishing cloth or a soft cotton cloth on any metal parts to reduce tarnish. Please keep in mind, due to personal pH levels of peoples’ skin and the frequency of wear, some jewelry may tarnish more quickly for some.
Please try to avoid over-exposing jewelry made with organic materials to water and sunlight. We recommend removing jewelry of this sort before showering, swimming, etc.
Please note HOFMAN piercing & fine jewelry will not be held responsible for any damages that may occur by forgoing the above recommendations.
