You might have heard me mention ‘the APP’ here and there. Now let me explain why studios worldwide, including Hofman Piercing & Fine Jewelry<\/a><\/span>, trots het lidmaatschap van deze organisaties tonen.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

In this article, I will do my best to explain why being part of the APP positively impacts your customer experience when you decide to get a piercing.\u00a0<\/p>

Waarom zijn piercing organisaties eigenlijk opgericht?<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 1994 richtte een groep piercers in de VS een vereniging op genaamd \"the Association of Professional Piercers\" of kortweg APP. De reden was dat piercing tegen die tijd mainstream was geworden en dat steeds meer mensen piercings kregen.\u00a0<\/p>

Daarmee kwam ook een groter bewustzijn van de risico's die gepaard gaan met het krijgen van een piercing.<\/p>

De APP is opgericht om veilige piercings te promoten en had een unieke manier om dat te doen.<\/p>

Informatie is de sleutel en de hoeksteen van de APP is de verspreiding van informatie over veilige piercings. Kortom, om informatie over veiligheid direct beschikbaar te maken, zodat piercers van elkaar kunnen leren.\u00a0<\/p>

De APP-conferentie is een goed voorbeeld van hoe dit wordt gedaan. Op de conferentie worden seminars gegeven over een verscheidenheid aan onderwerpen die allemaal te maken hebben met piercing. Piercers een kans geven om nieuwe technieken, nieuwe kennis, nieuwe inzichten te leren.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Waarom is dit belangrijk voor piercers?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Piercing gaat over het up-to-date houden van je kennis. Voor altijd leren is het credo van elke professionele piercer.<\/p>

Veiligheid betekent ook het gebruik van sieraden<\/span><\/a> die veilig in het menselijk lichaam kunnen worden gedragen (aangezien sieraden en materialen een onderwerp zijn waar ik nog dagen over kan doorgaan zal dit het onderwerp zijn voor een andere keer), bewust zijn van de risico's<\/a><\/span> die onvermijdelijk gepaard gaan met het vak van piercer en het hebben van een studio die is ontworpen om deze risico's te minimaliseren.\u00a0<\/p>

Wat nu belangrijk is om te weten, is dat de APP niet zomaar iedereen accepteert die voor het lidmaatschap betaalt. Om lid te worden, moet een studio aan de lidmaatschapsvereisten voldoen of deze overtreffen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Wat zijn de eisen om lid te worden van een piercer organisatie?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Deze eisen komen bovenop de eventuele landelijke zorgeisen (in Nederland opgesteld door de GGD) en worden gecontroleerd bij de aanvraag.<\/p>

Welke sieraden worden gebruikt, hoe de studio is gebouwd, welke autoclaven worden gebruikt en worden dagelijks en bij elke cyclus getest.<\/p>

Dit alles en nog veel meer is erg belangrijk om de veiligheid van de klant te waarborgen en wordt daarom gecontroleerd bij het aanvragen van een lidmaatschap. \nPiercers moeten ook een geldig EHBO-certificaat hebben en een bbp-opleiding (bloed overdraagbare pathogenen).\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Zo weet jij als klant dat wanneer je naar een studio gaat met personeel dat lid is van piercing organisaties zoals de APP of APP Benelux (of een van de andere verenigingen, zie onderstaande lijst) er extra aandacht wordt besteed om jouw veiligheid te waarborgen en dat sieraden die gebruikt worden voor je verse piercing gemaakt zijn van veilige materialen. Dat is goed om te weten toch!?<\/p>

Ik kan je uit mijn ervaring vertellen dat geaccepteerd worden als APP-lid een enorme mijlpaal is en een van de meest trotse momenten van mijn piercer carri\u00e8re is.\u00a0<\/p>

Het werk dat nodig is om een \u200b\u200bstudio op de APP-standaard te krijgen, is enorm en vereist inspanning, vastberadenheid en natuurlijk investeringen. Het feit dat enkele van de beste piercers die ik ken (en waar ik enorm naar op kijk) mijn studio hebben beoordeeld en mijn inspanningen om de veiligheid van de klant te garanderen hebben erkend, is nog steeds iets wat een grote glimlach op mijn gezicht brengt!<\/p>

De APP was de eerste piercer organisatie en vandaag de dag is het nog steeds verreweg de grootste met leden over de hele wereld.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ge\u00efnspireerd door het succes van de APP werden om soortgelijke redenen lokale organisaties opgericht. Lokale organisaties hebben vaak een beter begrip van de lokale gebruiken, wetten en de lokale piercer gemeenschap, maar ze werken allemaal voor hetzelfde doel, namelijk het promoten van veilig piercen.\u00a0<\/p>

Hoewel dit allemaal aparte organisaties zijn, werken ze meestal op vrijwel dezelfde manier en bestaan \u200b\u200ber goede vriendschappen tussen deze organisaties.\u00a0<\/p>

Veel piercers kiezen ervoor om lid te zijn van zowel de APP als hun plaatselijke piercing vereniging. Deel uitmaken van een wereldwijde groep professionals en verbonden zijn met hun lokale scene biedt een dubbele mogelijkheid om te groeien!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Nu weet je waarom we zo trots zijn om lidmaatschap te tonen en wat dat voor jou, de klant, betekent.\u00a0<\/p>
